Mini-Satellites for the DAO - Discussion

As I was reading other radical ideas like purchasing an island or creating an artificial island I considered what would be the most secure location to place nodes that store the DAO's assets. What better place non other than the largest decentralized location in the universe - space.

So basically you want to spend $115,000 on an Etherum node. How to put this delicately: um, no. I suppose it might be useful in the event of a total nuclear war that fries all ground electronics. But in that case I'm sure I'll have bigger worries than "oh gosh there goes The DAO".

Correct me if I have any misconceptions as I only have general understandings of PoS and staking ether, but won't the DAO need a node if it plans to stake Ether? If so, where would that node be located? If profits take off over the next few decades and its raking in millions of dollars from several smart contracts do we want one organization storing it? A physical location where it can be accessed by anyone? Or do we avoid staking altogether? Are there any other cool ideas we could throw around to utilize satellites to advance Ethereum and the DAO?
