Greetings fellow DAO enthusiasts!
I would like to encourage the members of our community to start thinking about what topics they would like to see covered at the first DAO (Un)Conference. An Unconference is "a loosely structured conference emphasizing the informal exchange of information and ideas between participants, rather than following a conventionally structured program of events."
If you are a member of the community who is interested in helpig to make the DAO (Un)Conference a reality or if you are working on a project/proposal/tools that you would like to present to the community, please reply in this thread. Ideally, I'd like to see this come together before the first proposal is passed. Given the geographic diversity of our community, I believe it makes sense to schedule real-world meetings (meetups etc) which we could then interconnect using digital means (Google Hangouts, Skype, etc). I'd like to invite members of the Slockit team to be our keynote speakers.
Generally speaking my goal is to help the community become better acquainted with each other while providing an avenue for anyone who wants to participate get in contact with the appropriate people/groups that best align with their skills and interests. The community will decide the content of the conference by voting, but here's an example of what the conference's agenda could look like:
A general format of the conference could be:
- Keynote speaker (Slock.it) (20-30 min)
- 10 minute lightening talks (1 hour)
- Community proposed and selected interest groups (2-3 hours)
- Split into Interest groups
- Interest group lightning talks (5-10 minutes)
- Socialize
