Im lost in the abyss of random opinion. These conversations in response to the proposals are just a big mess.
The formatting of a thousand comments within an evolving conversation regarding the future of a quarter billion dollars shouldn't crash a browser.
These conversations are brilliant. But they are buried in a pile of their own epic intellectual data.
We need something that can help these conversations evolve.
I am reaching out to call for immediate action toward a proposal that would aim to gather a brilliant, passionate and generous forum design team to get this circus running like well oiled machine, driven by well articulated ideas, sheltered from the inevitable fodder that has spawned.
We need a social network that utilizes our numbers to help filter out empty arguments, trolls and general low-quality contributions quickly.
Despite Dan's concern toward decentralized entities lately, I like what Steemit is doing with their social format. Perhaps we should consider adopting it.
It could be something as simple as voting comments up and/or down (with your DAO tokens?)
We need this so badly - it hurts to see these great conversations spawning and thriving and thrown around as we spray and pray our way to the decentralized promised land. We deserve to have high quality conversation prioritized in the forums as we discuss our future.
As we are soon to end the Creation Phase, I think redesigning our conversational format is very important to do soon.
I firmly believe in the heavy investment of infrastructure. Our conversation is our backbone. Community is the power of decentralization, and in order to harness it properly, we need to evolve quickly. I see the need for it. Slock.it will provide the product network, but we are in dire need for a proper intelligence network.
I suggest that DAOhub take the proper steps to press beyond the norm and establish itsself as an innovator in distributed leadership.
